Amazingly Designed: Streamsong

Golf Streamsong Resort in Central Florida. You will not be disappointed. The stunning beauty of Streamsong Resort is evident from the moment you step out of your car.

The design of this quiet, breathtakingly beautiful course keeps the land’s natural contours in mind. Located strategically in Bowling Green, Florida, it’s a short ninety-minute drive from Tampa, two-hour drive west of Orlando, and forty-five minutes directly south of Lakeland, Florida.

One would expect nothing less from four of the world’s most notable golf course architects, Bill Coore, Ben Crenshaw, Tom Doak, and Gil Hanse. They took every inch of real estate into account to create these legendary courses. Yes, that’s right, courses. Streamsong has three 18-hole golf courses to choose from to play.

Soon there will be more to check out. There is a fourth course in the works! The fourth course will be a shorter-style golf course meant for having a lot of fun while not needing your full bag to play. Perfect for the beginner golfer to get a chance to play on one of the top 100 courses to play in the United States.

“… some of the most unusual, interesting, and dramatic landforms we have ever encountered. The landscape is different than anything we’ve ever worked with.”  – Bill Coore, Architect.

The Courses – Golf Streamsong Resort

Each of the three currently open courses is unique. Because of that uniqueness, it can be challenging to decide which one to play first – because, let’s face it, you will be back to play the other courses – probably more than once. And each time you play, whether you choose a different course or not, you will experience something new.

Streamsong Blue

They say that Streamsong Blue was designed by discovery rather than intentionally picking the spots for this 18-hole masterpiece. The par 72, 7,276-yard course is nestled around wild grasses, towering sand dunes, and deep-water ponds allowing for every bit of the natural landscape to come into play.

Golfers will leave each hole stimulated and excited for the next hole. Each hole is designed to be memorable. Nothing is worse than playing a golf course, and 18 holes later, it’s hard to remember and specific hole. That will not be the case on the Blue course.

Streamsong Red

When you are ready to escape the hectic concrete-filled city, Streamsong Red should be the course you choose. There is nothing but natural land, lakes, sand dunes, and rolling hills on the course. So easy to leave all of the city stress behind.

This par 72, 7,110-yard layout will challenge any golfer that steps foot on the rolling terrain.

Streamsong Black

The third course, Streamsong Black, on the property is still as breathtaking as each of the other two. The black course is the newest addition to the resort and was named the best new course of the year in 2018 by Golf Digest. Being the best new course in the country is no small feat. The par 73 championship style course has vibes of Australia with the sand ridges and flowing elevation not usually found in Florida.

The Black Course, designed by Gil Hanse and Jim Wagner, is a smooth 7,320 yards from the “Green” tees. The Black course also has several other features that most golfers will appreciate.

Putting and Practice

Are you looking for a bit of practice on a short course or putting? When you golf Streamsong Resort in Central Florida you are covered there too.

The Gauntlet

The GauntletThe Gauntlet is a 1.2-acre putting course with 18 different holes each day. It is made of real turf that most places do not have. Play a few holes on the Gauntlet to warm up the flat stick or challenge a buddy after the round to settle any bets left out on the course. And then head to The Glove Bar for a refreshing beverage (or two).

Roundabout

The RoundaboutThe Roundabout is a 7-hole short course. The holes play as short as 65-yards up to 150-yards. It’s a great place to practice before playing one of the 18-hole courses.

If you are a beginner, this is the place you can work on your golfing skills, have some fun, and learn what to expect when playing 18-holes. The best part about the Roundabout? It’s complimentary for resort guests.

Streamsong’s unique Florida golf courses are rated #17 by Golfweek in the country and rated #2 courses you can play in Florida.
